Orlando Firm Creates Program to Aid Artisans and Crafters.

1-2-3 Crafts, Inc, an Orlando Florida craft retailer and educator, has announced the release of their Artist's Venue Program.

Company President, Vivian Thompson stated, "We have been fortunate to have spoken to so many talented artisans and crafters since we have opened. Many of them have remarkable talents and have expressed an interest in teaching in our facility. It is because we have received so many requests that we have put together this valuable program."

The new program, places the artisan in charge of their own destiny and, at the same time, provides them with support services that can be tailored to help them reach their objectives. The program provides the artisan with a venue where they may demonstrate, and teach, within their areas of expertise without carrying the overhead associated with having their own facility.

The program provides the artisan or crafter with real benefits. They do not have to maintain the overhead associated with having their own facility for one. Additionally, 1-2-3 Crafts provides advertising and promotion services that normally caould not be afforded by a lot of these people. Another added benefit is, by teaching or demonstrating, the artisan is more easily identified and respected as having expertise in that area. And, because they can leverage suppliers based on volume, 1-2-3 Crafts is able to offer the artisan supplies at a discount.

"No longer do they have to go it alone. No longer do they have to rely solely on craft shows or deal with the spikes in business that are associated with the holidays and the slow periods", stated Ms. Thompson.

1-2-3 Crafts views this as an opportunity for local crafters and artisans to build their business today and grow it to a steady income producer. By helping to make these people successful, the industry itself will grow and more people will take an active interest in the Arts.
