Whitney English Invitations Supercede Age with Elegant Style
(RPWEB) February 18, 2004--At the age of fifteen, Whitney English designed her first card while working at a paper company in Oklahoma City. Nine years later English is heading up her own company Whitney English Papers, designing, manufacturing and distributing her colorful and artistic lines to over 250 retailers nationwide.
Started in August 2002, English creates calling cards, note cards and invitations in seven categories in what she describes as "classic style with a twist." Her quick expansion at such a young age may be credited not only to her drive to succeed, but her ability to fill a gap for the sophisticated consumer wishing to combine elegance and fun in her communications. English avoids the cluttered categories and fads and creates cards that can be used for both everyday sentiments and special occasions.
Primary categories include (list category headings here),
"Our product lines give customers the chance to express their personality and individuality with stylish, expressive designs," said owner and creator English.
English's background in interior design and a retail paper and gift shop gives her a unique perspective on color combinations, buying patterns and the direction she wanted to take her company.
"In studying interior design in college, I learned the importance of color and arrangement and definitely use that in my paper designs," said English. "In working on the retail end of the paper and gift industry, I understand what customers are looking for and the process the retailer goes through in searching for new products. I was able to find the style that best suits my strengths and personality as a designer and match that to the needs of the expressive paper buyer."
