Announcing Launch of Free AgendiZe eBusinessCard and eInvitation Publishing Service
LEXINGTON, MA (PWREB) May 27, 2004 -– AgendiZe today unveiled a new, free service on its web site that allows users to automatically create and send their own electronic business cards or invitations. Recipients of the eBusinessCards or eInvitations can simply click on a link to automatically transfer the information directly into their choice of address book or personal calendar. Additionally, creators of an eBusinessCard can choose to use the formatted card as the autosignature on their Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express e-mail.
To create an AgendiZe eBusinessCard or eInvitation, users simply click on the ePublisher box on the AgendiZe home page and then complete the appropriate form. The user stipulates to whom the eBusinessCard or eInvitation should be sent as well as any accompanying message.
The AgendiZe eBusinessCard and eInvitation are both examples of the company's Web SmartTag technology, which allows web content managers and marketers to transfer any information – events, contacts, promotion reminders, etc. – from a web site directly to the appropriate application on the user's choice of device. AgendiZe Web SmartTags can also be created to include special promotion coupons, links to maps, push-to-talk functionality or virtually any other type of information.
"This free service represents another milestone in our vision to AgendiZe the Internet," explains Alexandre Rambaud, AgendiZe CEO and founder. "For us, migrating content from the Internet to your agenda starts with your business card being attached to your outbound emails and invitations. In both cases, it's critical to have complete and timely information. The easy-to-use AgendiZe product ensures accurate information transfer from the web to the user. We've decided to offer the eBusinessCard and eInvitation publishing service for free to increase awareness of the AgendiZe solution."
Users simply click on a Web SmartTag icon and are presented with a dialog box which allows them to choose whether to transfer the information to a personal calendar or address book, send it via e-mail, send it to a mobile phone, or print it. The technology supports address books and calendars in Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes, Palm, and Apple Macintosh, among others.
