Springfield, MA August 4, 2004 -- Advanced Painting announces its First Annual "Ugliest Living Room" Contest, in honor of a company name change and launch of its web site, www.advancedpaintingllc.com. One lucky western Massachusetts resident will have a chance to get his or her "ugly" living room updated this fall with a fresh, new look, in his/her color of choice, for free. Freshen up your ‘70s avocado green with a lively shade of sage; brighten up a dull room with a dazzling golden yellow – the color possibilities are endless. Advanced Painting will freshen up the winner's living room at no charge, using Devoe Paint courtesy of Allied Flooring & Paint in Springfield. Contestants should visit the site for more information and to enter the contest by October 31, 2004, or they are invited to call Advanced at (413) 796-8081. Entry forms will also be available at Advanced Painting's booth at the Western New England Fall Home Show from October 22nd through 24th, and at Allied Flooring & Paint at 555 State Street, Springfield, MA. "Before" and "after" photos of the winning living room will be posted on the Advanced Painting web site after work is complete.

Lawrence Long, Jr., company owner and operator, states, "This contest will be fun. There are some interesting paint jobs out there." He is excited about having a web presence, stating, "The web site will make it convenient for current customers to communicate with us, and also help us reach prospective clients." Long also explains, "We changed the name to Advanced Painting to avoid confusion with another painting company in our family. But customers have no need to worry – new name, same ‘aardvarks' on the job."
